Reunions Scheduled for 2012

 The following classes have scheduled reunions for 2012, this is a tentaive list of events.  Classes of 1962, 1972, 1992 and 2002 will all be celebrating!!  When more information is available and more dates are solidified we will post.   Remember, Homecoming is Friday, Oct. 12 vs. Jefferson.  We will open the Alumni Museum at 12, do a history presentation at 1 and then head over to the assembly at 230!!!  Join us for what is always a great day at the Lady on the Hill!!  The museum and history presentation is the perfect place to start your reunion!!

The Class of 1972 is planning to celebrate their 40th year reunion with us this fall.  Here is a tenative list of events scheduled, Oct. 11 a mixer, Friday, Oct. 12, attend Homecoming activities at EPHS, maybe a barbecue before the game and a get together after.  Oct. 13, a dinner and dance and on Oct. 14 a Sunday brunch!!!  Way to go Class of 1972!!

   Have you ever noticed the special bond between EPHS Tigers?  When you say, “remember Spring Fiesta?” or “Remember our senior year Claw Game..” or even, “remember Eve of the ‘E’?”  Our traditions are the ties that bind us, no other school in this region can compete with our history, for that reason many Tigers want to come back each year to relive those memories.   Last year the Association hosted 7 reunions and several hundred Tigers came back to the Lady on the Hill, 2012 should be no different!!

   Is it your time to come back home to the greatest high school in the land for a reunion this year?  The Alumni Association is glad to help and we want to meet with your group or class!! Here is information to help you get started with planning that special event.

   If your class has a presence on the web, please send reunion information to ephsco1997@yahoo.com to have your information posted on our Facebook page and linked to our web site. 

   Please consider adding an amount to your ticket prices to make a donation to the Alumni Association (towards scholarships, class gift or 100 years celebration). The Class of 1961 donated outdoor tables and benches to the campus which were almost $8,000 and the Class of 1991 donated over $1800 which is earmarked towards scholarships this year.

   We also ask that you appoint one person in your planning committee to submit a nomination for the 2012 Outstanding Ex.  This helps the Alumni Association gather a broader number of nominees and it helps connect your class with our wonderful Homecoming activities.  You can find all the information to submit a nomination for Outstanding Ex under the tab “Upcoming Events” at the top of the page.

   School and Museum Tours hosted by the Alumni Association are available for your reunion.  Tours are offered on Friday evenings before home football games.  Here is the schedule for this year’s possible tour dates:

Fri. Sept. 7 vs. Cathedral

Fri. Oct. 12 vs. Jefferson – Homecoming 2012

Fri. Oct. 26 vs. Chapin

Fri. Nov. 9 vs. Austin – The 81st Claw Game

    The tour is a great place to gather people together before the game and much easier to get your group back to school then a Saturday morning. The museum is only open when it is an Alumni Association led tour. The school is open for tours during their regular hours as well as after school, if you’d like a special group tour please contact us at ephsco1997@yahoo.com. If the school is not open, a facilities request and fee may need to be taken care of through the district.
